Role of Library Committee :
- The Library Committee will function as an advisory body, without administrative duties or powers, and also act as a liaison between the library and other members of the teaching staff and students
- It will assist in establishing broad general policy of the library
- It will help in the preparation of the library budget to be forwarded to the college management.
- It will formulate a Development Plan for the library.
- For routine, day to day work, the Librarian will be directly responsible to the Principal.
- It will help in the preparation of the annual report of the library.
- It will assist in the formulation of proposals in connection with grants and their allocation.
- Withdrawal & weeding out of unwanted and outdated material should be recommended by the Library Committee to the competent authority for final decision in the matter. The Library Committee should meet at least once in three months.
