ABOUT GOOGLE APPS:
The Skill Enhancement Programme on "Google Apps" is a comprehensive two-day training initiative designed to empower faculty members with essential digital tools that enhance teaching, research, and administrative efficiency. With the increasing integration of technology in education, this program aims to provide hands-on experience with Google’s suite of applications, enabling faculty to streamline academic workflows and improve collaboration effectively.
One of the key objectives of this Programme is to equip faculty members with the necessary skills to efficiently use Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides for content creation and real-time collaboration. These tools will enable educators to create, edit, and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations seamlessly, enhancing productivity and engagement in both teaching and research.
The programme will also focus on training faculty in utilizing Google Forms for conducting online assessments, surveys, and feedback collection. By leveraging the capabilities of Google Forms, educators can create interactive quizzes, collect student feedback, and automate data analysis, thereby making the assessment process more efficient and insightful.
Another crucial aspect of the SEP is exploring Google Classroom as an effective platform for online teaching, assignment management, and student engagement. Faculty members will learn how to create virtual classrooms, distribute assignments, communicate with students, and monitor progress through an integrated and user-friendly interface.
Beyond these specific applications, the SEP will emphasize enhancing productivity by integrating Google Apps into everyday academic and administrative tasks. Faculty members will discover various ways to simplify scheduling, automate repetitive tasks, and improve coordination among colleagues and students using Google’s ecosystem.
By participating in this SEP, faculty members will gain valuable insights into digital tools that can transform traditional teaching methods and administrative practices. This hands-on training will enable educators to adopt innovative approaches, foster interactive learning environments, and efficiently manage academic responsibilities in an increasingly digital world.
